Gov. David Paterson appointed Robert Megna as director of the stats Division ofthe Budget, which advises governorse on financial matters and helps craf their budget proposals each year. Megna’s annual salary will be $178,000, and he starts on June 15. His appointmen t does not need approval from thestatee Senate. Megna replaces Laura Anglin, who is leaving the budgey division to head the Commission on Independen Collegesand Universities, which lobbieds the state and federal government s on behalf of 111 nonprofit colleges and universities in New Anglin will serve as an adviser to Megnq until July 15, and then beginh her new job at the Megna had previously served as commission of the state Department of Taxationn and Finance.
